Silvia Figini, who holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Bocconi University, is Full Professor of Economic Statistics and Director of the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Pavia, where she also co-coordinates the Ph.D. programme in Computational Mathematics, Learning and Data Science.
Her interdisciplinary research focuses on the development of statistical models, Machine Learning algorithms, and kinetic-quantum (quantum-inspired) approaches. By combining computational methods with social and medical sciences, she translates Big Data analytics and quantum technologies into innovative solutions for personalized medicine, healthcare, and digital governance in the public sector.
